Tasty snacks for the office you'll love
We all know how difficult it can be to eat healthy at work. The constant supply of sweets, loaded with trans fats that are on the rest table requires too much power to avoid them.
So, we looked for health experts (for example nutritionists, dietitians, fitness trainers, doctors, and healthy lifestyle bloggers) and asked them a question:
What are your favorite healthy snacks to have in the office (or wherever you work) and why?
We wanted to know what the snacks they recommended. You see, the easiest way to stay healthy at work is to have healthy options readily available.
That way we will achieve good things when we are "hungry" in the afternoon.

Here are the most popular snacks for work, voted by our experts.
A handful of nuts and cheese
My favorite snack to work with is a handful of nuts and cheese. Keeping it low in carbohydrates won't slow you down and high protein will keep you satisfied until your next meal.
In addition, healthy fats in nuts will add an extra dose of nutrition to your day.
Greek yogurt with almonds
Greek yogurt with blueberries and almonds is one of the favorite options.
Peanut Butter Low Sugar Oatmeal Pack
If I am very hungry and I know that 10 almonds are not going to fill me, I look for a package of high-quality oatmeal and low sugar, I put it in a cup and add hot water and then mix a spoonful of peanut butter.
Another of my favorite snacks to eat at the desk is roasted peas. They are loaded with fiber and potassium and are easy to make at home.

A piece of fruit with a handful of nuts
The perfect snack, in my opinion, is a piece of fruit along with a handful of nuts.
I prefer to eat the fruit first, and then the nuts. The fruit provides a balanced amount of healthy carbohydrates and fiber, while nuts provide fiber, healthy fats and a decent amount of protein.

I find this combination incredibly satisfying, without many calories.
Raw almonds
I have raw almonds in my office. When I am eating, I make it a priority to combine something with protein with some fiber in each meal.
That helps me control the amount of insulin my body produces. The greatest weight loss makes my body sensitive to glycemic foods, so I have to avoid them.
I also like to eat corn chips and dip them in half avocado.
Dried mango, dried apple, dried pear, and dried banana
My favorite healthy snack for the office is dried unsweetened fruit.
It lasts a long time, is easy to eat and is filled with natural delight. Dried fruit is high in fiber and nutrient-dense.
In addition, dried fruit is a great source of energy when you need something that encourages you at work because it contains little to no fat while also containing a significant amount of calories.
Some of my favorite dried fruits to have on hand are dried mango, dried apple, dried pear, dried banana, and for something special, dried bananas covered with dark chocolate.
Robust fruits with homemade fruit mix
My favorite snack for the office is the fruits and the homemade fruit mix. For fruit, I like “robust” fruits that can last for a few days like apples, pears, oranges, and peaches and plums.
For my homemade fruit mix, I use ¼ cup of high fiber cereal, ¼ cup of original puffins, ¼ cup of Kashi, 1 tablespoon of chestnuts, 1 tablespoon of almonds and 1 tablespoon of nuts.
I mix everything and keep it in a Ziploc bag - and it is a great accompaniment to the fruit when I want to snack
Greek yogurt
I am a big fan of Greek yogurt - I mix some nuts and dried cranberries. My other regular healthy food option is raw vegetables with a package of guacamole.
Almonds, nuts, and mini chocolate chips
For me, the perfect snack is the right mix of carbohydrates, protein, and fat. It is also sweet and pleasant.
I typically make my own mix on Sunday nights and store them in plastic bags.
The mixture usually includes almonds (protein), dried fruit (carbohydrates), and mini chocolate chips (fat).
